Pilates and muscle imbalance retraining is invaluable for back pain and maintaining or improving your core strength.



 

With thousands of exercises and levels to choose from you will need a programme that suits you as an individual.


Pilates exercises may be integrated into your package of other exercises to develop your stability muscles or you can do pilates on its own.


Pilates and muscle balance retraining are often a necessary component required by your consultant after back surgery.

Learn how to activate transversus abdominis

This muscle is often taught first as it acts like an internal corset for your back.

 

 

Develop your strength and endurance

Exercises have progressions built in so you can move through the five stages in your own time.

 

 

Reduce Pain

The basic exercises can be done painfree and you can build up to higher levels as your strength improves and when you feel ready.
